Nadine Bradley brought all her visiting family for the meal on Aug. 6 with the kids and grandkids filling a table. We welcomed Cassandra, Austin and Treva Benigar and Jacob, Audra and Margi Coffman, all of Kingman, Ariz. Justyn Sean Headley of Klamath Falls also attended. It was a good day for youngsters.
We enjoyed hamburgers with warm sesame seed buns and all the trimmings one could imagine, along with french fries and ice cream sundaes with loads of toppings.
The community will be saying good-bye to George and Rochelle Meyers, as George has taken a job out of the area and will be leaving the Monument Soil and Water Conservation District on Aug. 15. Also, Alex Conley begins work on Aug. 12 as coordinator of the North Fork John Day Watershed Council. Alex also will help with some Soil District tasks. These two entities share office space and many other activities as they work toward their goals of good conservation that serves the landowner and the agriculture community.
