Circuit CourtCANYON CITY – Grant County Circuit Court reported the following fines and judgments: Angela M. Millard, Eagle Point, pled guilty on a charge of second-degree criminal mischief and was fined a total of $13,959.52, which included a unitary assessment of $65, a county assessment of $59 and $13,335.52 in restitution, with $500 of the fine suspended.She was placed on probation for 18 months, ordered by the court to perform 40 hours of community service and further ordered to write apology letters to the victims. Dee Ann Marie Waite, Eagle Point, pled guilty on a charge of second-degree criminal mischief and was fined a total of $13,959.52, which included a unitary assessment of $65, a county assessment of $59 and $13,335.52 in restitution, with $500 of the fine suspended. She was placed on probation for 18 months and ordered to write letters of apology to the victims. Matthew Sallee, Monument, pled guilty on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants and was sentenced to two days in the Grant County Jail, with credit for time served, and placed on probation for 18 months. He was fined a total of $1,284 which included a unitary assessment of $95, a county assessment of $59, $25 to the intoxicated driver program fund and $105 in state obligation, with $332 of the fine suspended. Sallee was also given the alcohol package, which includes special probationary conditions for alcohol-related offenses. His diversion was revoked and his driver’s license was suspended for one year. Ann Madalyn Berg, Canyon City, pled guilty on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants and was sentenced to 90 days in the Grant County Jail, with credit for time served, and placed on probation for 36 months. She was also given 180 custody/sanction units and ordered by the court to perform 80 hours of community service. Berg was fined a total of $2,294, which included a unitary assessment of $105, a county assessment of $59, $25 to the intoxicated driver program fund and $105 in state obligation, with $500 of the fine suspended. She was given the alcohol package which includes special probationary conditions for alcohol-related offenses and ordered to enter an inpatient alcohol treatment program. Berg’s driving privileges were suspended for three years. Stephen W. Hughes, John Day, pled guilty on a charge of harassment and was fined a total of $685, which included a unitary assessment of $35 and $650 in compensation. The fine will be paid within 60 days. An additional charge of fourth-degree assault was dismissed. Joseph M. Randolph, no address listed, pled guilty on a charge of menacing and was sentenced to 20 days in the Grant County Jail, with credit for time served, and placed on probation for 18 months. He was fined a total of $624 which included a unitary assessment of $65 and a county assessment of $24, with $500 of the fine suspended, and ordered by the court to obtain a mental health evaluation and follow all recommendations made. Additional charges of harassment and disorderly conduct were dismissed.Justice CourtCANYON CITY – Grant County Justice Court reported the following fines and judgments: Cameron Cody Fast, Unity, was found guilty at a hearing on charges of minor in possession of alcohol, violation of basic speed rule (72/55 zone), driving while suspended and driving uninsured. On the minor in possession charge, he was fined a total of $309, which included an assessment of $35 and $24 cost. Fast also was ordered by the court to participate in and complete an alcohol treatment program at his own expense under the direction of the Grant County Center for Human Development and follow all recommendations made. He was ordered to make an appointment for an evaluation within 30 days. On the charge of violation of the basic speed rule, he was fined $109. Fast was fined a total of $295 on the charge of driving while suspended, which included an assessment of $35 and $24 cost, and fined $175 on the charge of driving uninsured. Cindy Hinton, Prairie City, had charges of dog at large and failure to license a dog dismissed when she presented the court with a receipt indicating that the dog had been euthanized and disposed of by a veterinarian. Gordon K. Mallon, Burns, was found guilty at a hearing on a charge of violation of the basic speed rule (74/55 zone). He was fined $95. Jennifer Evans aka Jennifer Medico, no address listed, was found not guilty on a charge of negotiating a bad check.Small Claims CourtSeptember Judgments Jackson Oil vs. Danny and Tamara Winters.Default money judgment awarded to Jackson Oil in the amount of $661.21, which included $112.50 in costs. On the violation of basic speed rule charge, he was fined $109 plus a $25 driver’s license suspension fee. On the driving uninsured charge, Guerin was fined $175 plus a $25 driver’s license suspension fee. Leigh Wheeler, Prairie City, failed to appear on charges of violation of basic speed rule (70/55 zone) and driving uninsured and was found guilty by default. On the violation of basic speed rule charge, she was fined $109 plus a $25 driver’s license suspension fee. On the driving uninsured charge, Wheeler was fined $175 plus a $25 driver’s license suspension fee. Nicholas Williams, Canyon City, was found guilty at a hearing on a charge of unreasonable sound amplification. Fined $55. Troy Daniels, Seneca, violation of basic speed rule (78/55 zone). Fined $125. An additional charge of driving uninsured was dismissed when proof of compliance was shown. John Massie, Boise, Idaho, violation of basic speed rule (75/55 zone). Fined $109. Candice Wright, John Day, following too closely. Fined $125. Shiloh Stinnett, Canyon City, violation of basic speed rule 85/55 zone. Fined $400. Showed proof of speedometer repair, cost $90. Scott Sauve, Central Point, had a charge of no mud flaps on fender flares dismissed when proof of compliance was shown. Melinda Moss, John Day, violation of basic speed rule (70/55 zone). Fined $95. An additional charge of driving uninsured was dismissed when proof of compliance was shown. David Snyder, Hearldsburg, Calif., violation of basic speed rule (75/55 zone). Fined $95. Margaret Cook, Cave Springs, Ariz., violation of basic speed rule (73/55 zone). Fined $100.
