Corwins top scales with catch, Gerrys net biggest fish at event

PRINEVILLE – Steve and Jerry Corwin were the winners of the John Day Valley Bass Club’s tournament at the Prineville Reservoir on Saturday, April 19, hauling in a catch which weighed 5.95 pounds.
Bill and Clayton Gibbs came in second with a total weight of 5.61 pounds.
Ryan and Rick Gerry netted just one fish in the tournament, but that fish turned out to be the largest of the day, tipping the scales at 4.30 pounds, and earning the duo third place.
Fourth-place finishers Ron Wright and Jim Smith also caught just a single fish that came in as the second largest of the day with a weight of 3.40 pounds.
The club’s next meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 12, at Clark’s Kountry Lanes.
