Workshops focus on agriculture, natural resources

BAKER CITY – A one-day Solutions workshop will be held 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at Baker High School.
The meeting is being held in response to requests for a follow-up after a recent Rural Economic Summit held in Burns. Workshop attendees will focus on natural resource and agriculture issues, specifically timber, forestry, water, grazing, agriculture and value-added agriculture. Work sessions will seek solutions to already identified problems and issues.
A no-host lunch will include a presentation of the Draft Work Plan for the Eastern Oregon Rural Alliance, the document being developed from the Burns Summit.
