BOISE, Idaho – ITT Technical Institute in Boise, Idaho, will offer a scholarship to members of the United States military who enroll. The amount of the scholarship represents 10 percent of the students’ tuition.
The scholarship will be awarded to eligible students who begin their studies at ITT beginning with the winter quarter starting in December. The scholarship is available to incoming ITT Tech students who currently serve in the military, including the armed forces, National Guard, Coast Guard or the reserves, and to veterans who have received an honorable, medical or general discharge. “We are pleased to offer this scholarship as a way to recognize the efforts of our servicemen and women who devote their time and efforts to protecting our country and freedom,” said Jennifer Kandler, director. “Many service personnel seek to further their education while on active duty or upon discharge, and we want them to know that we can help them achieve their education goals.”
It was noted that programs offered at ITT correspond with many military skill specialties involving information technology, computer drafting and design and electronics engineering. Many students who come from military backgrounds attend ITT to obtain degrees that can help them build upon the training they received in the military.
