Shad Dale Cole and Katie Jo Putnam are engaged to be married. A Sept. 11 wedding is planned at the Redmond Community Presbyterian Church in Redmond.

The bride-elect is the daughter of David and Diane Putnam of Redmond. She graduated from Redmond High School in 1994 and Pacific University in 2002 as a doctor of physical therapy. She is employed by the Blue Mountain Hospital as the director of physical therapy services.

The groom-elect is the son of Gary and Joanne Cole of Bend. He graduated from Mountain View High School in 1994 and received a bachelor of arts in liberal studies from Northwest Nazarene University. He is a full-time student at Oregon Institute of Technology studying computer software engineering technology.
