Dorothy Alene Roller Finch Beck, 93, died Aug. 18 at the Blue Mountain Nursing Home in Prairie City.
Family services will be held at a later date.
Dorothy was born in Harrison, Idaho, Feb. 9, 1911, to William H. and Mary E. (Myers) Roller, the ninth of 10 children. She was raised in Spokane, Wash., and graduated high school there.
In 1928 she married Jack Finch. After their divorce in 1943, she moved to Vancouver, Wash., where she worked in the office of St. Joseph’s Hospital. She married Stanley “Sam” Beck July 2, 1954 in Vancouver. Eventually they moved to Portland where Sam was employed by Andy and Bax as a gunsmith. When they retired in 1979, they moved to John Day. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last month.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Jacqueline Finch Cole of Mosier and Nancy Finch Gray of Georgia; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael John Finch and all of her siblings.
