Robert Wheatley and Katie Portugal of Prairie City became parents to a son, Cameron Joseph Wheatley, born at 7:26 a.m. Sept. 28 at the Blue Mountain Hospital.

Cameron weighed 7 pounds and was 20 inches.

Paternal grandparents are Leonard and Londa Wheatley of Springfield and the maternal grandparent is Christopher Portugal of Prairie City. Great-grandparents are Clyde and Eleonor Cooper and Ken and Marylou Schaffer of Springfield.
