John Day Seniors: Good wishes to helpers

On Dec. 27, members of the Church of Latter-day Saints served a meal of Rice-A-Roni. Sister Russell asked the blessing and Sister Thomas led the flag salute.

The Len’s Drug certificate went to Thelma Temple and John Day Pharmacy certificate went to Maryann Osborn.
Wednesday bingo callers were Don Caldwell and Bob Larkin. A portion of the blackout pot of $340 was split $15 each to Elenor Lenze and Judy Nelson. Bonnie Zick won $30 of the $500 blackout.
Fred and Vyvyan Gardner furnished the fish entree for Dec. 30. Members of the First Christian Church served the meal. Pastor Cheadle asked the blessing and Alma Joslin led the flag salute.

Pastor Cheadle has reported that Harley McGetrick has been released from the Blue Mountain Hospital. Announcer Carryl Magee read us a timely, funny story about an old cowboy. Mayvis Trayler won a free meal and Pat Perry won the certificate from Chester’s Thriftway.
