HUDDLESTON SNOPARK – The only thing I regret is not taking the snowmobile out for another spin. I should have.

It was great fun, even going as slow as I did around the track that looped about two miles through more snow that I’d ever seen outside a movie or a magazine.

Ken Joslin loaned me one of his machines, and I appreciated it.

Driving a snowmobile is a lot like controlling a motorcycle, except more slippery.

The more than 500 miles of snowmobile trails in Grant County are the best in the state, I was told, and I believe it.

The invite came from the Grant County Snowballers to come up and take part in the club’s annual Sled-In.

The system is groomed by volunteers from the club.

The club meets monthly at the Outpost restaurant in John Day.
