Grande Ronde, Wallowa, and Imnaha basin streams: Open for trout May 28.
Hat Rock and Weston Ponds: Hat Rock and Weston Ponds: Open all year, and will be planted with legal-sized trout during April, May and June. Hat Rock Pond is accessible year-round and Weston Pond should be accessible by mid to late April.
John Day Basin: All streams in the basin will be open to trout angling May 28. ODFW reminds anglers that all rainbow trout 20 inches and larger are classified as steelhead in streams in the John Day Basin. Anglers are also reminded that a slot limit is in effect for smallmouth bass in the John Day River from Service Creek Bridge downstream to Tumwater Falls.
Jubilee Lake: Open year round and fishing is expected to be fair to good for eight to 12-inch rainbow trout. The lake is usually not accessible by vehicle before mid-June because of snow.
Kinney Lake: Will not open until May 28 at the landowner’s request. It will be stocked before opening. Kinney Lake is located on private property, and the landowner allows public access for angling. Please respect the property by cleaning up your trash, restricting vehicle travel to the existing road, and helping maintain the privilege of angling on this property.
Long Creek, Seventh Street, and Anson Wright Ponds: Access will be good and all should be stocked by April 23.
Rowe Creek Reservoir: Low water may limit stocking rates.
Magone Lake, Bull Prairie: Roads will be open.

McNary, Channel Ponds: Open all year, and will be planted with catchable-sized trout during April, May, June and July.

The season from Hwy 730 Bridge upstream to Three Mile Dam is April 16-May 21 and the season form Three Mile Dam upstream to the reservation boundary located upstream from Hwy 11 Bridge at Pendleton is April 16 to June 30. Consult the 2005 Oregon Sport Fishing Regulations for additional special regulations are in effect for the Umatilla River.

Brownlee Reservoir: Fishing has already picked up for bass, crappie, catfish, perch and trout. Channel catfish angling will be slow until the weather warms up in May. Fluctuating water levels are common in spring and can throw the bite off temporarily.
Oxbow: Reservoir: Good angling for bass, crappie, catfish, perch and trout.
Hell’s Canyon Reservoir: Good angling for bass, crappie, catfish, perch and trout. Below the dam, in the Snake River is also good for smallmouth bass as the water warms.
Snake River upstream of Brownlee Reservoir: Upper basin snow pack was low this winter. Flows should be below average most of the spring and summer. Channel catfish angling will be slow until the weather warms up in May. Smallmouth bass fishing will pick up when water temperatures rise.
Spaulding Reservoir: Water levels are low in this productive BLM reservoir located about 70 miles east of Lakeview and north along Doherty slide. Fishing should be fair this spring for last year’s planted fingerlings.

Warm Springs Reservoir: The reservoir has not filled since 2000, and it will not fill again this year. It could be drained by late July. It will take several years for the warm water fish population to recover.
Warner Valley Lakes: Crappie will be available although the low lake levels going into the winter reduced the total number of fish. Expect the lakes to become very low as the summer progresses.
Wildhorse Lake: Located high on the south end of Steens Mountain, Wildhorse Lake has a naturally reproducing population of Lahontan cutthroat trout. The road and trail into the lake should be accessible by early to mid-July.
Williamson River: Special regulations are in effect for the Williamson River. Williamson River from mouth upstream to Kirk Bridge should provide excellent angling opportunities for large native redband trout. Very strong runs of returning fish have been observed during this spawning season. Angling for these large fish should peak in the months of July, August and September. Season opens May 28. Williamson River upstream of Kirk Bridge should provide very good angling for native redband trout and introduced brook trout.
