Quinton continues banking education

Bob Quinton, commercial loan officer for the John Day and Prairie City branches of Bank of Eastern Oregon, recently attended and graduated from Western School of Agriculture Lending held July 9-12 in Reno, Nev.

Classes concentrated on credit and marketing evaluation, tax analysis, regulatory overview, risk management, bankruptcy, and grassroots efforts, according to President and CEO, George Koffler.

“This is a challenging and intensive four-day school, with 12-13 hours of study each day. The bank would like to acknowledge Bob’s dedication and perseverance it took to attend this rigorous school and congratulate him on his accomplishment, said George Koffler, president and CEO of the bank.

Quinton has been in banking and lending for 17 years and has been a commercial loan officer at Western Bank in Grants Pass and worked in the branch system at Liberty Bank in Eugene. He also has significant experience in the mortgage industry.

Since coming to Grant County, Quinton has been a leader in the community. He is mayor of John Day. He is incoming president of Grant County Chamber of Commerce, and a board member for the Southeastern Regional Alliance, the Blue Mountain Healthcare Foundation, and Families First of Grant County.
