Not to be doomsayers, but since the recent fire at Prairie Wood Products (see A1) and the possibility that the Co-Gen plant’s contract with Oregon Trail Electric won’t be renewed Jan. 1, we’ve been thinking about what would happen to our economy if PWP closed its doors. We haven’t imagined anything good, and we wonder what you have in mind when you consider Grant County without one of its major businesses. Let us know.
