Debate timeSENECA – The seventh and eighth grade will have their annual debates at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 30 in the gym. Christmas love in a shoe boxJOHN DAY – Operation Christmas Child is the unique project of Samaritan’s Purse, a nonprofit organization that distributes gifts to hurting children around the world.

If you are interested in donating a shoe box filled with gifts, pick-up an empty shoe box (if needed) and an informational brochure at Len’s Drug, choose a boy or girl and age category and fill the box with new age-appropriate gifts.

The brochure lists items such as toys, school supplies, hygiene items and other applicable items.

It also lists items that should not be included in the boxes. You’ll need to include $5 to help cover shipping. People who don’t want to fill shoe boxes may contribute money to help defray the costs.

Drop-off deadline for the boxes is Nov. 14 at Len’s Drug or The Church of the Nazarene during work hours.

Clay pigeon shootSPRAY – The second clay pigeon shoot fund-raiser for the Spray Rodeo will take place Nov. 19. Practice shoot from 10-11 a.m. The cost for five shots is $3.
