Joyce Neumann-Brown, a former gardner, seamstress and telephone operator, died on Nov. 18, 2005, at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland, Wash.
Graveside services were held on Nov. 18 at Olney Cemetery in Pendleton.
Mrs. Neumann and her twin brother, Frank, were born Oct. 13, 1929, in Prairie City to Frank and Amelia Frances Weaver. Mrs. Neumann lived many years in the John Day area before moving to Pendleton in 1970. She worked for Pacific Bell as a telephone operator for over 20 years.
Mrs. Neumann enjoyed her rose garden, her many sewing projects, her dog and frequent talks with her sister, Verda.
She is survived by her sister, Verda Cutler and her husband, Dale, of Longmont, Colo.; niece, Barbara Jo Collins and nephew, Dick Barber, both of Longmont, Colo.; and numerous cousins in the John Day area.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin Neumann; twin brother, Frank Weaver; sister, Bea Lewis; sons, Donny and Ronnie; and her special companion of many years, Duanne Brown.
