Co-gen selling to Idaho Power

PRAIRIE CITY – The co-generation plant at Prairie Wood Products is selling electricity to Idaho Power.
The deal started Jan 1. The chief financial officer for D.R. Johnson, who owns the co-gen plant, confirmed that a contract had been signed, but declined to comment on any specifics of the arrangement.
Media contacts at Idaho Power were unavailable for comment.
The co-gen plant’s 20-year contract with Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative ended Dec. 31, 2005.
