Letter: Paper out of mainstream

We have lived, worked, and raised our family in Grant County for the last 34 years. We-have been very thankful to be a part of a culture that has upheld biblical values, a strong work ethic, and put our greatest heritage, our children, first. The cage fighting that was witnessed (recently) is at the opposite end of the spectrum that Grant County has always stood for. Yes, we realize it brings revenue to the county but in reality it costs us more than it brings in. Let’s give our kids real heroes to emulate. Grant County has a ton of them.

In addition to this, we were extremely disappointed in the attitude of the Blue Mountain Eagle concerning this. We used to have a county paper that reflected the image of the county. By it’s political cartoons, editorials, and subject matter, it has left mainstream Grant County and looked more like a paper from Multnomah County. A change of focus would be greatly appreciated.-
