T. Ione Wright died on Feb. 5, 2007, in Portland due to complications from emphysema. She was 77.

A graveside service was held Feb. 10, 2007, at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Vancouver, Wash., followed by a gathering of friends and family at First Evangelical Church in Vancouver, Wash.
Mrs. Wright was born on Nov. 13, 1929, in Oklahoma City, Okla. to Charles T. and Annie F. (Baughman) McDonald. Her family moved a great deal, but finally settled in the Mt. Vernon area, where she met her husband of 59 years, Leonard A. Wright. They moved to Dufur in 1957 and bought the telephone company. In 1996, they retired and moved to Vancouver, Wash. to be near their family.
Mrs. Wright enjoyed spending time with her family. She liked reading, watching westerns, and creating things with her hands.

She is survived by her children, Carla Corson, Teresa Graham, Sean Wright and Shannon Neibert; grandchildren, Cherie Corson, Ronnie Graham, Stephannie Esqueda, Zachary, Sarah and Brooke Neibert; TJ Bennison, John and Joe Pless; and great-grandchildren, Ronnie and Chloey Graham.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters, brothers, and one son, Pat Wright.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Wright’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
