MONUMENT – We had 52 people here on March 27 to eat and enjoy baked ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, hot rolls and chocolate cake. It was really good.

Our guests were Elva Dell McGough from Spray; Don Breeding from Gresham; Erica Geinger from Prineville; and the Blakeslees from Long Creek. This is you last time on the “guest list,” Bob and Linda. You’re back on the “homefolks” list, again.

Tiina Schutz is taking spring break with son Matti up in British Columbia. And we were very glad to hear that he was back at work and doing fine. Good for you, Matti. And while I’m at it, I want to tell the Williams kids hello, and we’ll see you before too long now.

Part of this will be over and done with by the time you read it, but it isn’t now. They are having graveside services for Roy Farrer today, Friday, March 30 at 11 a.m., followed by dinner at the Senior Center.

There will be bingo on Saturday night, and I’m going to miss it again. The doctor over in Bend told me not to be trying to walk any more than was absolutely necessary until we see if my new medicine is going to work. It’s not too hard to stay away from walking when it hurts so bad you can’t walk.

They took a busload of people to Spray for dinner yesterday, Thursday, and even without me there were nine on this trip. I’m sure Zee Tankersly did a great job of feeding them.

Reverend Soyster won the certificate from Chester’s Thriftway and Betty Breeding won the free meal.
