Obituary: Gary Allen Wyllie

March 14, 1936 – April 2, 2007

Gary Allen Wyllie, of Bend, died on April 2, 2007. He was 71.

Services were held on April 10, 2007, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Bend.

Mr. Wyllie was born on March 14, 1936, in Dayville to Charles and Lorraine Wyllie. He served in the U.S. Army as a medic during the Korean War. He worked as contract logging superintendent for Brooks Scanlon’s and for B & S Logging in Prineville.

He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Wyllie, of Bend; sons, Darrick Wyllie of Bend; Daniel Wyllie of Elgin; David Wyllie of U.S. Air Force in Louisiana; Bruce Wyllie of Seattle, Wash.; daughters, Chris Sharrard and Colleen Stewart of Pendleton; brothers, Larry Wyllie, of John Day; Keith Wyllie, of Sedalia, Colo.; sisters, Sharon Ferguson, of Mt. Vernon; and Karen Britton of Salem.
