Obituaries: Melanie Glee Johnston

Melanie Glee Johnston died on June 13, 2007, due to injuries suffered in an automobile accident. She was 25.

Funeral services were held June 18, 2007, in the chapel at Macy & Son Funeral Directors in McMinnville. Reverend Marky Kelly officiated. A private family interment was held at the Yamhill-Carlton Pioneer Cemetery.

Miss Johnston was born on Feb. 3, 1982, in John Day to Michael and Cathy (Gregg) Johnston. She moved to Yamhill in 1993 and graduated from high school there in 2000.

She attended Oregon State University and Western Oregon University. She began working at the McMinnville Wilco while in college and had recently been named replenishment buyer at company headquarters in Mount Angel.

She is survived by her parents, Michael and Cathy Johnston, of Yamhill; her fiancee, Arlan Graham, of Carlton; brother, Seth Johnston, of Yamhill; grandparents, Robert and Donna Johnston, of Canyon City; and Gibb Gregg of Dayville.
