Having a Berry Good Time

This homemade huckleberry ice cream by Donna Adams won first place in the frozen dessert division, and in first place in the baked division was Helen Emmel’s huckleberry rhubarb pie. David Seacord uncovers one of his acrylic on cardboard paintings “Five Elements in Crescendo” during the Huckleberry Festival in Prairie City. Self-taught, Seacord travels throughout the northwest and southwest selling his paintings. Seacord took the historical spelling of his last name after moving from Prairie City years ago. His parents are Darwin and Jeanne Secord.
