In a remarkable twist of events, Dave Traylor and now Kelly Collins seem to insist that all that I’ve written is an inflammatory attack on the Sheriff’s posse. If that is what they want to call it, I cannot stop them, but it does not make it so. In my original commentary, I stated that the posse is a service organization and should be left out of the politics. That is still my position.
All that I have written of has come, exclusively, from reports and letters appearing on the pages of the Blue Mountain Eagle. I do not think that qualifies as gossip, as Kelly Collins has stated. It seems to me that both of them have used words to twist my meaning to create select impressions and divert attention. Now if this doesn’t qualify as bullying, I don’t know what does.
I first wrote to the Eagle when it appeared to me that there were unbalanced and unfair attacks on Judge Webb, undermining the ability of the Sheriff’s Office to work with the County Court. Let’s bring the attention back where it belongs … to a peaceful solution between them.
