- Grant County Halloween fun
Boo!
The moon was just a whisker past full on Oct. 31 over Grant County.
So is it really any wonder that the phlebotomist at Blue Mountain Hospital was transformed into a vampiress, metallic eyes glancing casually from neck to neck?
Or that one local bank was taken over by mobsters, nervously guarding the vault?
Or that local insurance agents and grocery workers were mysteriously replaced by characters from “The Wizard of Oz?”
Across the county, businesses, schools and offices were transformed by strange forces that hit the county with the force of a pumpkin smashing to the pavement. There were ghouls, goblins, witches and pirates. Lots of witches and pirates.
It was a Grant County Halloween, and it wasn’t just for kids.
