Oregon State Police cited a Canyon City woman for failure to drive within the lane after a one-car crash that sent two adults and an infant passenger to the hospital on Dec. 21.

Trooper Tom Hutchison said the accident occurred in icy conditions on Highway 395 near Milepost 108 when the northbound car, a Jeep Cherokee, lost traction, slid off the roadway and rolled down an embankment.

Hutchison said the vehicle came to a rest about 20 feet off the road, resting on its side and facing south.

All the occupants were wearing safety restraints.

A passenger, Kimberly J. Mills, 44, of Canyon City was taken by ambulance to Blue Mountain Hospital with a back injury.

The driver, Alexis D. Cannon, 55, and 8-month-old Jaylee B. Lucas of Long Creek were taken to the hospital to be checked out. Police said they were released with no apparent injuries.
