Monday, Jan. 7, Blue Mountain Auxiliary members served the entree of tuna casserole. The entree was furnished by Nita Princehouse. Sylvia Warick led the flag salute and Ben Luethe asked the blessing.

January 10, baked chicken was served. The entree was furnished by Fred and Vyvyan Gardner. Also served was parsleyed butter potatoes, mixed veggies, fruit salad and hot rolls. Wilma led the flag salute. Ivan asked the blessing. The January birthday cake was furnished by Driskill Memorial Chapel and King’s Discount Store.
The certificate donated by Chester’s Thriftway was awarded to Rita Bremner and Louie Zak will receive a free meal from the Site Council.
Five gallons of sour dough are bubbling on my counter and are looking more like being ready for serving at the Mt. Vernon Grange Pancake Supper January 19. Serving starts at 5:00 p.m. and stops at 7:00 p.m. The Upriver Band will entertain and there will also be a cake walk.
