To the Editor:

Out of respect for the Bachtold family, I have held off writing this letter. The gloves are off now.

Joe and Gwen and your two lovely boys: You are so loved by this community and we all are so saddened by the events that have taken you from us. There is no replacing what you have given this community. I, for one, will miss your great sense of humor and the “honor” of working with you both. I am sick to lose such friends. I love you both dearly.

To the scum that did this to our community: We’re watching you and your high-five buddies. Through this terrorist act, you robbed us of our co-workers and friends and truly good persons of the community. The trash you threw upon this county will go on for sometime. But you did not win. Rest assured, you will find out what this community is made of when we put you behind concrete and steel for the years to come.

Do us all a favor and turn yourself in. Save this community a costly court trial, or leave this country and join up with the likes of yourself, al-Queda.
