Association recognizes area cattle producers, youth

Steve and Carolyn Mullin of Prairie City own a bull listed in the Spring 2008 Sire Evaluation Report published by the American Angus Association in Saint Joseph, Mo.
The new report features the latest performance information available on 5,299 sires, and is currently accessible at (www.angussiresearch.com).
“This report provides both Angus breeders and commercial cattle producers using Angus genetics with accurate, predictable selection tools for improving their herd,” says Bill Bowman, American Angus Association director of performance programs.
In other Association news:
? Bar Six Angus of Monument, J. Gail and Shirley Enright of Mt. Vernon, Reta L. Guerin of Canyon City, and Rudio Creek Ranch LLC of Kimberly are new members of the Association, a national breed registry organization.
? Lisa M. Bennett of Canyon City is a new junior member of the Association.
The American Angus Association, with more than 36,000 active adult and junior members, is the largest beef cattle registry Association in the world. Its computerized records include detailed information on nearly 16 million registered Angus.
