Candidates seek OTEC board spots

BAKER CITY – Three positions on the Oregon Trail Electric Consumers Cooperative (OTEC) Board of Directors are up for election at the annual meeting, which will be held May 3 in Baker City.
The openings and candidates are:
? Union County candidate, position No. 1 – incumbent Gary Potter.
? Baker County candidates, position No. 2 – Jerri Bogart, Michael Cook, and incumbent Charles Hofmann.
? Harney County candidate, position No. 3 – incumbent Robert Cargill.
Each position is a three-year term. Nominating committees appointed for each district selected candidates for the ballot.
Additional candidates’ names may be placed on the ballot by petition, collecting 250 valid signatures of registered OTEC voting members and submitting the petition to the OTEC headquarters in Baker City by March 4.
OTEC voting members will be able to cast their ballots by mail in April or at the annual meeting. The winners will be announced at the meeting.
