Edward David Myers, 55, passed away at his residence in Union, on Feb. 5, 2008.

He was born in Springfield, Mo., on Jan. 27, 1953. He grew up in Canon City, Colo., with his adoptive family, until he joined the Navy in the 1970s. He served in the Vietnam War and was proud to be an American and a veteran. He was preceded in death by his sister and both parents.

Mr. Myers moved to Eastern Oregon in 2003. He enjoyed going to church, helping people in need, building model cars, playing the piano and having coffee with his friends. He loved his dog, Jazzy Toes, and was proud of his 16 years of sobriety.

He and Bill Pauley were best friends and roommates for 14 years. They were inseparable; you never saw one without the other. He will be missed very much.
