PRAIRIE CITY – Early this morning, Marvin, Buzz and Ottis prepared the six tables for those who came to enjoy eating turkey and noodles, salad, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls and lemon cake. One way or another 6 meals were delivered around town.
Flag salute was led by Buzz and the blessing was given Ben Luethe Jr. Between these Eula Thompson won the Prairie Drug and Hardware certificate.
Our servers were Louise LaBaugh, Vivian Rookstool, Pam Howard and Lou Thoemke as members of the Prairie City American Legion Auxiliary.
From the nursing home, Kathleen DuBuc and Lorna Askew brought Elva Lloyd, Rita Todahl, Stacey McKinney, Daphne Andrews and Jim Magee. The good news is Carryl Magee was able to come join Jim and she is on the mend after the wind sent her to the hospital with broken bones.
We broke in Leone Wenzel to help with leftover food. Jean Kline prewashed the silverware. Heard Cleo Dunten is home.
