William L. “Billy” Hubbard, 65, of Amarillo, Texas, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008. He was born June 10, 1942, in Marsing, Idaho. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years, traveling all over the United States. He loved the outdoors, camping, traveling in the mountains and trees.

Some of his favorite times were spent with his children and grandchildren. To his children, he was “Daddy,” to his grandchildren, “Papa.” To other friends and family he was Billy, but by whichever name he was called, there was always love, respect and admiration behind the words.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lebert and Katherine Hubbard.

Mr. Hubbard is survived by his children, Vanessa, Regina, Martin, Michael, Brian, Eddie Hubbard and Guy Rudsell; three brothers, Johnny, Paul, and Larry; two sisters, Kathy Payne and Linda Perry; seven nieces; seven nephews and 15 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Feb. 19, at Pinnacle Community Church, Amarillo, Texas, with Kurt Oheim officiating. Cremation is being handled by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors.
