Tim and Laura Brown of John Day announce the birth of a daughter, Ava Angeline Brown, on Feb. 16, 2008, at Blue Mountain Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces, and was 20 1/2 inches long. She joins older brother Treyton, who is 22 months old.

Grandparents are Greg Brown of Sacramento, Debbie Brown of Bend, and Gary and LaRue Pryse of Prairie City. Great-grandparents are T.G. and Sandy Brown of Izee, Gene and Ann Broeckel of Chico, Calif., and Harold and Gerri Taecker of John Day.
