Techniques to reduce stress

? Smile or laugh … it’s impossible to stay tense and stressed if you’re thinking about happy memories or plans. Look at photos of loved ones, spend time with a fun person in your life, read a funny book or watch an funny movie.
? Take 10 deep, slow breathes, while trying to clear your mind of all thoughts. Try saying “relax, relax” silently to yourself as you breathe in and out.
? Get outside and take a walk. Fresh air and sunshine are always good stress-relievers.
? Take a stress-reduction, yoga or meditation class to learn helpful techniques.
? If you find yourself in a situation that is constantly causing stress, start making a plan to change your situation for the better. Making plans for positive change is empowering and reduces stress, too.
