Michael Bass, prosecuting attorney, addresses the court as the jury looks on in a mock trial at Priarie City School. The Modern Problems class, taught by Andy Demko, held the trial in the school library as part of a lesson on the U.S. legal system. Cole Winegar was the defense attorney. Also playing roles in the case were Aubri Church, and defense witnesses J.T. Black and Daniel Rodgers. Penny Estrada was the judge, and Abby Titus was the bailiff. Sixth-graders served on the jury.
