MONUMENT – On Tuesday, March 14, we enjoyed really good hamburgers with all the fixings, French fries, macaroni salad and sugar cinnamon bars. Everything was delicious and 38 lovely people came to dine. We had no out-of-town guests. Shannon Bravos won the free meal and Lois Groves won the certificate from Chester’s Thriftway.

Our esteemed CEO announced some events coming up in the near future. By the way, our “esteemed CEO” is Jerry Cowger. There will be Sunrise Services on Easter Sunday, March 30, up on Easter Point at 6:30 a.m. I will remind you.

They are still selling raffle tickets for the Gary and Julie Warner benefit. I made a big mistake last week, when I wrote the $50 gift certificate was for the Branding Iron! It isn’t – it’s for the Snaffle Bit! Well, I was in the right part of the country – they’re both “Western.” I’m going to be in trouble though, because I’ve known some of those people for a hundred years. Back to the tickets, they are $1 each or 6 for $5. And they will be on sale until March 20. And again, the raffle is being hosted by the MMM Club.

I also goofed on the bus trip! They went to Prairie City. They had a great dinner, visited with nice people and the whole trip was a success. I had sent them to Condon! Sometimes I just can’t make one mistake without following it up with another.
