- Obituaries: Bond Hamilton Jobe
Bond Jobe of Arlington, Wash., died March 5 from complications of pneumonia and congestive heart failure.”He was one month shy of his 90th birthday.
Mr. Jobe was born in Los Angeles, and lived in California much of his life. He also lived in Oregon and Washington. He graduated from Grants Pass High School, where he met his wife of 52 years, Peggy.”
Mr. Jobe joined the Army Air Corps during WWII and never lost his love of flying. He was owner/operator of NW Drilling Co. and JL Cattle Company, both based in Prairie City.
He had been living with his daughter Judy Duncan, also a former resident of Prairie City, at the time of his death.”He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Jobe and his son-in-law Wayne Duncan.”
In addition to his daughter Judy, he is survived by his daughter Janet Jobe of La Crescenta, Calif., his granddaughterTracy Duncan, great grandson Stephen Edwards and great granddaughter Shelby Edwards all of Marysville,Wash., his grandson Stan Duncan and his wife Janel, great grandsons Cole and Logan Duncan all of Camano Island, Wash., as well as may other nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends.”
At his request, no funeral is planned. Instead the family will enjoy dinner together and raise a toast in memory and celebration of his life and his wonderful sense of humor.”They encourage all those who knew him to do the same.
