This year the track team will consist of about 10 to 12 high school athletes and about the same amount of participants at the middle school level.

We will have only three or four seniors, including returning athletes JT Black and Aubri Church. JT will be working toward his goal of a state position in the disc throw. Aubri will be concentrating on sprints and some distance events.

Other returning athletes are Katie Hoberg, a sprinter and long jumper, and distance runners Caitlin Patten and Tel Winegar. New athletes this year include Chauncy Groves, Daniel Rogers, Loretta Hoeffner, Katie Cary, and Caro Stark an exchange student.

Prairie City will begin their season with a meet at Harper on Friday March 21, followed by a Grant Union meet on Tuesday April 1.
