MONUMENT – On March 18, we had enchiladas with all of the “trimmins,” refried beans and some scrumptious cinnamon rolls. And 47 people to eat them.

Our “esteeemed CEO,” Jerry Cowger, had some announcements, but everything except one, will be over and done with by the time this comes out, even the Sunrise Services on Sunday, March 23. I hope everyone’s Easter was lovely. I’m looking forward to more chocolate! When my kids were younger, I went all out on coloring eggs, making “piƱatas,” conning the kids into believing they had to give me some chocolate, so I could “pay” the Easter Bunny. My family all liked the “deviled eggs,” so I colored dozens of eggs. Even made clothes for them and little hats, etc.

The one thing that’s in future is the bus trip to Fossil on the 26th. But they have to have at least six passengers, plus the driver. So if you want to enjoy a nice trip, friendly dinner and visiting with some nice Fossil people, call Frances Arneson at 934-0804, and she’ll give you the information concerning ride and dinner costs, and departure time.

I guess about all that is left is “who won what?” Betty Shrofe won the certificate from Guys and Gals, Grace Sweek won Chester’s Thriftway and Frances Arneson won the free meal.

I predicted at least one more snow storm and we had one on the 19th, but it wasn’t really a bad one. So will predict a “doozie” on Easter Sunday.
