Grant County Air Search Annual Fly In Breakfast at Grant County Regional Airport, John Day

September 6, 2008 from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

This is a fly in/drive in event, and all are welcome. Breakfast will be served for $5 an adult plate. Food to include pancakes, eggs, ham, juice, coffee or tea.

Activities scheduled (tentatively):

USFS rappelling and retardant demonstration; Powered parachute fly over; Air Life plane on display; Model airplanes on display; Ultra light or helicopter candy drop; and Free airplane rides for children first grade through twelfth grade.

(All rides will be concluded by about 11:00 or earlier if weather is not satisfactory for safe flights.)

Overnight camping at the airport is permissible, with courtesy cars available to pilots.

Grant County Air Search is an all volunteer air search organization. They have monthly meetings to discuss business, refresh skills, and have social activities. When needed for an air search they are under the jurisdiction of the Grant County Sheriff.
