More than 20 artists are expected to be at the school for the Evening of Art. The public is invited to watch them do their work from 5 to 7 p.m.
The artistry includes an array: painting, leatherwork, jewelry, pastels, rope-braiding, metalwork, poetry, dance, quilting, singing, Afro-Cuban drumming and more.
The artists are adults from the local area. They will discuss their work with students and others attending the event. The Juniper Singers will perform.

The event is a fund-raiser for the school’s Artist in Residence program. There is no admission charge but donation jars will be set out for contributions.
Humbolt students also have created baskets to raffle, a benefit for the library.
Teacher Peggy Murphy said visitors can stop by the cafeteria to buy tickets for the drawings.
Each basket is packed with gifts following a theme. The themes include Movie Night, Grant County, pets, a picnic at Magone Lake, sports, and two baby baskets: “It’s a boy,” and “It’s a girl.”
The event also will include a science fair, with Humbolt students’ projects on display. The array includes an erupting volcano, and – outside – catapult launches.
Parking is limited at the school, so organizers are offering a bus to shuttle visitors to Humbolt from the Grant Union High School parking lot. The shuttle will run every 10-15 minutes, from 5 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
