Justice CourtCANYON CITY – The Grant County Justice Court reported the following fines and judgments:
? Margie Applegate, Bend, was cited for driving while suspended and fined $325. A citation for driving uninsured was dismissed when she later showed proof of insurance.
? Bricio Gamoa-Contreras, Kimberly, was cited for driving uninsured and finded $185. A citation for driving while suspended was dismissed when proof was shown.

? Sara Jones, Redmond, was cited for violation of the speed law (45/25 zone) for a fine of $110, and cited for driving while suspended for a fine of $325.
? Steve Hopkins, Lake Oswego, was cited for violation of the basic rule (76/55 zone) and fined $145.
? Ethan Bellinger, Mt. Vernon, was cited for violation of the basic rule (92/55 zone) and fined $427.
? Brandon Cross, Mt. Vernon, was cited for unreasonable sound amplification. A hearing was held at which he failed to appear. He was found guilty by default and fined $97.
? Garrett Gilstad, Estacada, was convicted of possession of alcohol by a minor and fined $500.
? Steven Joe Pecorilla, Carson City, Nev., was convicted of criminal trespassing in the second degree and hunting on the enclosed lands of another. He was sentenced to perform 80 hours of community service and placed on bench probation for 12 months. His hunting privileges were suspended for 24 months and he was fined $944, with $250 in restitution to Allan Mullin.
Circuit Court? Thorval Dee Pattee, 53, was convicted of two counts of driving under the influence of intoxicants. Sentencing was as follows: For count one, he was placed on supervised probation for 18 months, jailed for 10 days, ordered to pay $793 in court fines, costs and assessments, and his driver’s license was suspended. For count two, he was placed on supervised probation for 18 months, jailed for 30 days, ordered to pay $793 in fines and his driver’s license was revoked. That sentence was concurrent with all previously imposed sentences.
? Kevin John Rapp was convicted of two counts of third-degree theft. Sentencing was as follows: For the first count, he was placed on bench probation for 12 months, ordered to complete 24 hours of community service, and fined $953 in court fines, costs and assessments, in addition to $39 in restitution to Chester’s. For the second count, he was placed on bench probation for 12 months, ordered to complete 24 hours of community service, and fined $133. A third count of theft in the second degree was dismissed.

Vernon; John Day Police and Sheriff’s deputies responded to an alarm at US Bank; Sheriff’s deputies took a report of theft of a spare trailer tire, with the blown out tire left behind; United States Forest Service responded to a fire on south Highway 395; Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an intoxicated person in Mt. Vernon; Sheriff’s deputies assisted Baker County dispatch and Baker ambulance at a 4-wheeler accident on Highway 7; JD Police and the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife received a report of a dead calf in the river and hung up on debris; JD Police cited a Tacoma man for speeding; Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a school bus broken down on Highway 26 at Indian Creek Road; JD Police responded to a report of a curfew violation on 1st Street; JD Police and Sheriff’s deputies took a report of a stolen vehicle on 2nd Avenue; Sheriff’s deputies responded to an out-of-control fire on west Highway 26; JD Police cited a man for driving while suspended; JD Police took a report of a runaway juvenile; JD Police escorted a patient to Blue Mountain Hospital; Sheriff’s deputies cited a Pendleton man for operating a vehicle without proper lighting and failure to renew registration; JD Police and Sheriff’s deputies responded to a non-injury accident on Valley View Drive; Oregon Department of Transportation responded to a report of high water on the road on Highway 395, south of Canyon City; JD Police took a report of a dog that fell out of a truck; JD Police cited an Astoria man for speeding; JD Police cited an Island City woman for speeding; JD Police took a report of a juvenile making inappropriate calls from their parent’s cell phone; Sheriff’s deputies cited a Mt. Vernon man for running an ATV on a roadway in Mt. Vernon; JD Police cited a Scio man for speeding; Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Umatilla man on a Grant County warrant, lodged in Umatilla County Jail.
Ambulance: Long Creek ambulance was requested for a 14-year-old boy having seizures; John Day ambulance was requested for a 74-year-old man who was weak, couldn’t stand and had been vomiting; JD ambulance was requested for a woman with breathing problems; JD ambulance transported a patient to the Burns hospital; JD amublance did a transport to the airport; JD ambulance was requested for a man who had fallen at Valley View Assisted Living; JD ambulance did an Airlife transport; JD ambulance was requested twice for a 55-year-old man who was vomiting and had a fever; JD ambulance transported a patient home from Blue Mountain Hospital; Prairie City ambulance was requested for a 71-year-old woman with a dislocated hip; Mt. Vernon ambulance was paged for a person with a possible heart attack.
