JOHN DAY – The John Day Elks Lodge #1824 has selected two students to receive the 2008 Lodge scholarship. They are:

? First place – Elizabeth Inscore of Dayville. The daughter of Skip and Cindy Inscore, she is a 2008 graduate of Dayville High School. She plans to attend Trinity Western University in Langley, B.C., where she will pursue a career in sports medicine.

She receives a $2,000 monetary award.

? Second place – Tyler Webb of Mt. Vernon, son of Mark and Sherri Webb, is a 2008 graduate of Grant Union High School. He plans to attend Willamette University in Salem and major in economics.

He receives a $1,000 monetary award.
