MT. VERNON – The community hall remodeling project is nearing completion, and a drive is under way to pay for new tables and chairs.

Organizers are seeking monetary donations from residents, neighboring friends, school alumni, and others, along with donations in memory of past residents, to pay for the tables and chairs.

All donations will be acknowledged on a plaque in the community hall.

The furniture list includes eight-foot tables at $80 each, six-foot tables at $50 each, four-foot tables at $40 each, and chairs at $25 each. To make a monetary donation or get more information, call City Hall, 932-4688.
