PRAIRIE CITY – Is everyone enjoying all the rainstorms, lightning and rainbows? How about getting a garden planted when muddy?

Again, Marvin, Buzz and Ottis prepared the five tables. Eula Thompson had 33 signed in to eat the meal of meatloaf, coleslaw, cooked carrots, buttered red spud chunks, rolls and chocolate cake. Two meals were delivered.

Flag salute was led by Buzz Harris. The blessing was given by Billy Drinkwater. Servers were American Legion Auxiliary gals – Lou Thoemke, Vivian Rookstool, Pam Howard and Louise LaBaugh.

Lorna Askew and Barb Bryant brought Margaret Sagert, Vern Randall, Ethel McFadden and Stacey McKinney.

Amos and Helen Cardwell are back in Prairie City after spending most of May in Kansas and Missouri with their daughter, Kay, and her family. They watched their grandson play soccer in a tournament.
