Preslie Thompson has gotten used to winning lately.
Thompson, 12, took first-place awards in three events at the Troy black powder muzzle load rifle rendezvous April 19 and 20. She won the off hand silhouette, off hand paper target and throwing hawk and knife events to take the high overall aggregate award at the event.
Preslie shot her .50 caliber black powder rifle in all of the shooting events and won top honors in the junior class.
Preslie continued her winning streak during a .22 caliber rifle competition in La Grande. She won the grand prize at the event by earning the high score in the off hand silhouette targets, bench rest targets, and the off hand silhouette trail walk. She won a lever action Henry .22 caliber rifle at the competition.
The Grant County Shooting Sports Club sponsored Thompson in the events.
