CANYON CITY – The write-in votes have been tallied, and the Grant County Public Forest Commission has its new slate of members.

The commission posts – seven commissioners and two alternates – were listed without candidates on the ballots last month because no one filed by the required deadline.

That meant that commission members and any hopefuls had to rely on write-in votes.

The Grant County Clerk’s office released the following results:

Position 1 – Dave Traylor; Position 2 – Walt Gentis;

Position 3 – Tad Houpt;

Position 4 – Roger McKinley; Position 5 – King Williams; Position 6 – Michael Smith; Position 7 – Royce Dotson; and Alternates – Larry Blasing and Charlie O’Rorke.
