Ronnie and Courtney Taynton of Canyon City announce the birth of a daughter, Brooke Paisley Taynton, at 3:45 p.m., May 28, 2008 at Blue Mountain Hospital in John Day. She weighed 7 pounds 4 ounces and was 21-1/2 inches long.

She joins older stepbrother, Beau, who is 13.

Grandparents are Ronald and Diane Taynton of John Day, and Eddy and Deeann Negus of Prairie City. Great-grandparents are Delbert Taynton of Prairie City, and Dean and Helen Frazier also of Prairie City.
