PRAIRIE CITY – Kids, get out your crayons, markers, colored pencils or whatever you have – Prairie City is holding a Fourth of July Coloring Contest!

Sponsored by the Blue Mountain Eagle, the theme of the contest is “Color My World,” in keeping with Prairie City’s Fourth of July theme, “Show Your Colors.”

All children ages 1-10 years are encouraged to particpate and show off their artwork. They should draw their own pictures and drop off completed entries by Tuesday, July 1, at Bar WB on Front Street in Prairie City, or at the Eagle office, 195 N. Canyon Street in John Day. Ribbons and prizes will be awarded at the Fourth of July celebration in Prairie City.
