CANYON CITY – The Grant County Historical Museum, in partnership with the town of Canyon City, has received permission from the League of Oregon Cities to search outside of Canyon City limits for potential board members. Anyone interested is asked to contact the museum at 575-0362 or pick up an application at the museum.
The museum board will review the applications Aug. 11 and make recommendations to the Canyon City Council, which will make the appointments.
The museum is looking for active, involved board members who are excited about the potential for growth in the museum and its programs. Board members are urged to work one shift at the museum per month. The term is four years and board members may be re-appointed.
For more information, call museum manager Jayne Primrose at 575-0362 or city clerk Tammy Bremner at 575-0509.
